It is also known as heptorenal space of Morrison’s pouch. BOUNDARIES ANTERIORLY: by inferior surface of the right lobe of liver and gall bladder. POSTERIORLY: by Right suprarenal gland, upper part of the right kidney, 2nd part of the duodenum, hepatic flexure of the colon, transverse mesocolon SUPERIORLY: inferior layer of coronary ligament INFERIORLY: It opens into the general peritoneal cavity. ON THE RIGHT: it is limited by diaphragm ON THE LEFT: It communicates with the omental bursa Clinico-anatomically, it is of considerable importance, as it is the most dependable part of the abdominal cavity proper when the body is supine. Pathologically, it is the commonest site of suphrenic abscess, which may be caused by spread of infection from gall bladder, appendix and other organs in the region. #Subhepaticspace #hepatorenalspace #
