He shows some companies where promoters increased their stake through preferential warrants like Sukhjit Starch and Polyplex. He also speaks about family selling where selling from a non-active promoter creates an opportunity to pick stocks. He shares examples of LG Balakrishnan Bros, Usha Martin Ltd, and Mangalore Chemicals. He also says that one must be alert of unofficial shareholdings which are converted to official holdings. This is used by promoters to sell in good times and buy it back in bear markets. He shows us how he keeps track of insider trading data which is publicly available on BSE.
