THE OUTLAST TRIALS | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

Check my other channel here    / @milogamereviews   Outlast is amongst the best horror games I have ever played. They combine triple A quality graphics and presentation with a terrifying plot and atmosphere. Its sequel received mixed reactions and therefore it came as a surprise that their next installment would be a co-op focused game. Though luckily it is also playable in singleplayer mode. Outlast Trials tells the story of various people who have to participate in challenges and experiments. We will get dropped in various locations and have to avoid roaming enemies while completing different tasks. The game was surprisingly tense and scary without feeling like other co-op games like Dead by Daylight. Exploration is very rewarding and the jumpscares are pretty effective. There are definetely moments when you can see that the co-op would shine as team members can distract the enemies or you have to press buttons on different locations to pass down certain items. Unfortunately none of my friends were interested in the game so I was tasked with playing Trials by myself. It was still very scary and a great experience, but undoubtedly the experience is better in multiplayer. Especially during the funfair level I had multiple times where enemies would constantly camp certain spots which made it impossible for me to progress. In multiplayer this would be no issue, since one player can distract the enemy while the others perform the task. Since it is early access I assume the AI will be tweaked in the future to hopefully make it a bit less frustrating in parts for singleplayer. This video showcases the three main locations that the game has to offer and the main scenarios you are tasked with. More updates will be released in the months to come and maybe I can convince some of my friends to join after all.
