Mitsubishi Toshiba Samsung DLP TV Turning Off Bad Airflow & DIY TV Repair Click Here to BUY TV PARTS: http://www.shopjimmy.com Fan problem with DLP TV overheating. Bad DLP Fans are most commonly found in these TVs: • Mitsubishi DLP TV Problems • Samsung DLP TV Problems • Toshiba DLP TV Problems Top Common DLP TV Problems for DLP TV Repair: • Black & White Dots (Specks, Spots) • Stuck Picture (Display) • Broken, Stuck Mirrors • No Picture • TV turning off • TV won't start up correctly • TV Overheating In this video we are going to take a quick look at one of the problems that a DLP TV can develop and this is going to be about the fan. Fans can have a few issues. They can get blocked. If something sits in there, the fan won't spin properly and then TV won't power up or it will shut down after a short period of time. The other problem that can happen is that these wires right here, you have red, black, and yellow. The red and the black provide power, the yellow if a feedback, it allows the TV to know what speed the fan is running at. If for some reason that fan is not running correctly, the TV will shut down. Some TVs will give you a warning, others will not. Otherwise you will have to check the TV itself. You might notice that a fan is not running at the right speed, its running slow, it has problems starting up, sometimes a visual clue is just by checking inside the TV can help. If the fan does have issues you will find your TV may show a message on the screen that tells you its defective, it also might just shutdown after a short period of time. This is done to protect the TV, these lamps run at 400 degrees and that is enough to melt the TV and also cause a fire. This is why it will shutdown if it detects it is not running correctly. This can also affect any of the fans in the TV, not just the DMD fan. It can also affect the blower fan and the fan that sits near the ballast and the lamp. Any of these can cause the TV to shutdown. If you think your fan is defective you can find a replacement fan at shopjimmy.com. You can go ahead and install a new fan pretty easily, it doesn't take long. It is only going to have one connection and usually just a couple of screws. Once you put in a new fan, you should be able to start your TV up and it should be fine.
