Hi Permapotes, In this video, I interviewed Benoît from Ferme des Arondes, a mushroom growing and agroforestry enthusiast. Through his approach, he invites us to rediscover the magic of mushrooms and the richness of nut orchards. Benoît shares his know-how on mushroom growing: from the varieties he grows to his process, including the secrets of an environment conducive to their development. But that's not all! He also opens the doors to his two chestnut and hazelnut orchards. What makes his approach even more fascinating is the link he has created between these two productions. Nothing is lost: the mushroom growing residues, rich in organic matter, are reused as mulch at the foot of the trees. This virtuous cycle nourishes the soil, promotes moisture retention and stimulates microbial life, thus providing chestnut and hazelnut trees with ideal conditions to flourish.
