FINALLY AFTER 2 years… I’m back with another update on my scar treatment journey! So I took a break because I was focusing on travelling, work and just my social life. Until…. Dr Davin Lim moved to Sydney!! He is is known as one of the best in the world for acne scars, so when I finally sat in his clinic @the_melasma_clinic and he looked at my skin, I knew this moment was big. When he asked for a year of patience, I nodded-because after everything, I'm ready for this commitment. I've followed his work for years, and now, having him and Dr. Varitsara personally map out my scar treatment journey for 2025 is a full-circle moment!!! a Something no one tells you about acne? Even after the breakouts stop, the battle isn't over. Deep scars can be even harder to treat and no, it's not just from popping pimples. Scarring comes down to genetics, too. Some people heal flawlessly, while others (like me) are left with reminders of our pain and resilience I've done microneedling, 70% TCA Cross-all the things people swear by-but my deep scars didn't respond. So, I took time off from hyperfixating on them, choosing to give my skin love instead. Since this year is about growth, I took the plunge and decided to go with more invasive treatments. We started off with TCA Paint 90% (it stung e)!!), local anesthetic via cannula (so scary I had to close my eyes o eS), and my first-ever CO2 laser. It was uncomfortable-but do-able! Dr Davin went in with a lighter laser because it was my first session... This is just the beginning. I'm committing to a full year of treatments and will be sharing every step-the progress, the lessons, the skincare tips.
