Isaiah 59:1–3 (NIV): 1 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. 3 For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things. Isaiah 59:16 (NIV): “He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.” ✅ Reflection: God looked for an intercessor, someone to stand in the gap, but found none. Because no human could fully bridge the gap caused by sin, God Himself stepped in. “His own arm” represents His power and strength to save. “His own righteousness sustained him” shows that salvation is not by human effort but by God’s holiness and justice. This verse prophetically points to Jesus Christ, the true Intercessor and Savior (1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 7:25).
