A BUCKET LIST excursion in Tromsø! 🐾 Fred. Olsen Borealis | Episode 7 Join us in Episode 7 of our Fred. Olsen Borealis Northern Lights Cruise series as we tick off an absolute bucket list experience — dog sledding in Tromsø, Norway! 🛷❄️ After docking in the Arctic city of Tromsø, we set off on a 50-minute scenic coach ride to Aurora Alps for our long-awaited husky sledding excursion. With thick blankets of snow and frozen lakes, it was a proper winter wonderland from start to finish! We meet our enthusiastic sled team (both humans and huskies!), enjoy a thrilling ride through the snow, and even get to meet the dogs and a sweet little puppy named Grayling 🐶. Afterwards, we warm up in a traditional Sami-style tent with coffee, cake, and an insightful talk about the life of a sled dog in the Arctic. Back on board Fred. Olsen’s Borealis, we soak up more incredible Norwegian scenery from the observation deck and spot some local wildlife (yes — a dolphin!).
