Welcome back to my 12 in 12 series and course number 11! On this day I played Plumas Lake Golf Club just outside of Marysville, CA. I ended up choosing this course because the same management group that runs Micke Grove also runs this course, and I was so impressed with Micke Grove that I thought I would give this one a try. The conditions were quite different here though, being that we are starting to get into the Fall and early Winter conditions, but I still did enjoy this course and will have to go back and try again when the conditions are dry. I was surprised at how quick the greens were rolling even with the wet conditions, so I imagine that they are super fast in the summer time out here. Here is a little about the course from their website: "While the original 9-holes were developed by club members, the course was expanded to 18-holes and redesigned in 1960 by renowned golf course architect, Bob Baldock. This semi-private facility is open to the public and has twice been rated as a top 100 public golf course in America by Golf Digest. While playing the course, one will encounter an abundance of mature oak trees that both line the Bermuda fairways and protect the relatively small greens. A drainage canal meanders throughout the property and comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes.
