I recommend using 95% to a 100% cotton fabric. 2) Wash the T-shirt before painting with markers. This gets rid of all the softening and anti-wrinkling chemicals. The color will stick better to clean fabric. 3) Put some sheets of paper onto your working surface and between the layers of the clothes. It prevents the colors from the top layer from leaking to the bottom. 4) Stretch out the shirt - it is easier to draw onto a flexible and moving fabric. The thicker and stiffer the material, the easier it is to draw on it. 5) When the drawing is ready, let it dry for about 24h. 6) Fix colors by ironing. Cover the image with a thin cotton cloth. It protects the iron from being stained by the colors. Make sure that the steam is off. Iron the front side through a thin cotton cloth and the backside without the extra layer, about 3 minutes from one side and 2 to 3 minutes from the other side. And it is ready. Washing: Turn it inside out and wash it on a delicate cycle with slow spin and not more than 40 °C (104 °F). Let it try on the drying rack.
