Catholic Schools Enrollment Continues to Grow for 2nd Consecutive Year | EWTN News Nightly

A recent report says enrollment in the nearly 6,000 Catholic schools in the United States has grown for the second consecutive year. According to the National Catholic Educational Association there are now 1.69 million students in Catholic schools. That's an increase from the previous year's 1.63 million. However, the total is still a little short of the pre-pandemic 1.74 million. President and CEO of the National Catholic Educational Association, Lincoln Snyder, joins to give us his take on these numbers. The association's report says some dioceses are experiencing record enrollment. He tells us which parts of the country are doing well and which parts of the country are a little down. Snyder explains if there is any way to measure how the struggling US economy might be impacting enrollment at Catholic schools. Snyder discusses what percentage of students in Catholic schools are actually Catholic and whether the study includes parents who are home-schooling using Catholic study guides.
