Spring is right around the corner and thoughts turn to planning your garden. The City of Windsor wants to help you get off to a great start. Believe it or not, that planning begins in January with our Christmas Tree Recycling Program. Trees are collected during specified refuse collection days, shredded into wood chips and brought to the landfill. For the next several months, the piles of chips will essentially "cook" and break down, becoming compost. Residents can purchase the compost from the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority and is available at the Public Drop Off Depot, (Central at E. C. Row) while quantities last!
