My Royal Enfield Classic 350 is due a replacement chain and sprocket kit having now covered 13,000 miles on the DID chain and I fitted after the original chain was shot after only 4000 miles!. In its time it has used two front 15t sprockets, and I also tried the taller geared 16t gearbox sprocket. The taller gearing made for a more relaxed ride with lower revs keeping in character with the bike, and I quite enjoyed riding the bike like a 4 speed only using 5th gear for tail winds and longer downhill roads and flatter straight sections. What I never tried was the 16t with all the changes done to the engine including the Hitchcocks camshaft, so before I buy replacement drive chain for around the 20.000 mile service why not try it out again?
