Life is Art! Art is Life! VAST Bhutan presents the Life As Art Talk Series—a celebration of art, personal stories, and the shared human experience. Our first guest is our beloved founder, Asha Kama, and the first episode was recorded on 21st February 2025, honouring the birth anniversary of our beloved Fifth King, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. With deep gratitude to Their Majesties, The King and Queen, who continue to inspire and anchor the arts in Bhutan, we at VAST Bhutan remain committed to nurturing a creative and compassionate society. Life As Art is our effort to inspire awareness, creativity, resilience, and connection in everyday life. We believe art is not just in galleries—it lives in quiet moments, in our choices, and in how we live. Launching on Teacher’s Day is especially meaningful to us. VAST Bhutan has long been a space for growth and creativity, and it’s only fitting that our first episode features Asha Kama, who has spent 27 years guiding Bhutanese youth through art. In 2010, he was awarded the National Order of Merit (Gold) by His Majesty The King for his contribution to the arts and society. Through this Talk Series, we bring you heartfelt conversations with artists, educators, and changemakers who truly live life as art.
