The George George House, often referred to as the Reynolds Death House, is a historic stone building in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, widely regarded as one of the most haunted sites in the area. Located at 237 Steinwehr Avenue, it served as the temporary resting place for Union Major General John F. Reynolds after he was mortally wounded on July 1, 1863. The house is believed to be inhabited by at least four distinct spirits. General John F. Reynolds: Legend says his blood seeped into the floorboards, and stains are reported to spiritually reappear occasionally. Visitors have reported seeing an anachronistically dressed man believed to be his apparition. Catherine Hewitt: The spirit of Reynolds' heartbroken fiancé is also said to linger here. A Teenage Boy: The spirit of a young male has also been reported by investigators and visitors. "The Liar": A petulant and mischievous fourth ghost known for unsettling activity. The building is currently home to Servant’s Olde Tyme Photos. While it is a private business, it is a frequent stop for Gettysburg Ghost Tours and other paranormal investigative groups.
