Tree Academyと銘打ったTrail Walks & Campfire Talksイベントを記録したものです。 BGMはなく極力編集を控えたドキュメンタリー風に作成しています。 The Katsuo Trail is a long-distance hiking route stretching approximately 210 km from Yaizu City in Shizuoka Prefecture through Shizuoka City, Fujieda City, and Shimada City to Kawanehon cho in the Southern Japanese Alps, with a total elevation gain of 6,150 meters. Along the route, you'll find lodging facilities utilizing former schools and galleries housed in traditional Japanese homes. Based on the concept of “TRAIL LEARNING” – “Walking is learning” – it encourages journeys where people open their senses, observe the land with each step, and deepen their connection with nature while walking through the region's fishing culture, history, and the natural landscapes of the Oi River basin. This video documents the Trail Walks & Campfire Talks event titled “One Tree Academy,” held by Lucas B.B. (Editor-in-Chief of Papersky magazine: https://papersky.jp/en/) and his companions on February 7-8, 2026, recorded by us at Heartland Japan. This time, we visited Kawanehoncho in Shizuoka Prefecture. We stopped by because a community working to revitalize the area by opening a long-distance trail called the Katsuo Trail was holding an event.
