Canon EOS R5 10Bit 4K 100P/120p Video Test This is the Canon EOS R5 video part 3. And this is probably for last one for now. I will still continue do some more testing myself such as the Non HQ mode whether it is usable to not. So in the par 3. I was testing out the 4K 100p (120P) performance. I think the R5 is probably the first mirrorless camera to offer 10Bit 4K 120p. And of course the 120p is slightly softer comparing with the 8K and 4K HQ Fine modes. But the quality was still by far better than the original EOS R footage. And with the 10But colour, I was able to push the colour a lot in post. During the shoot, I did not have any overheating issues at all. Same with my last two videos thanks to the winter in Australia. But one thing I did find, I had my “Heat Control” turned on. And it is just like a timer thing to tell you how much longer you can record before the camera overheats. So what happened was, I did a full hour of shooting on my first CFExpress card. And no overheating at all. But after my first card was all, I swapped to a second CFExpress card. And I supposed to have another 7.5mins with the new card. But then my camera was showing “You only have 5mins of record time”, (No overheating icon popped up still) I thought that was weird. Then later on, I went to a different spot to continue my shooting. Then when I switched on the camera. It went back to 7.5mins. So I realized that was the heat control on the R5. So if I had kept going with the shoot on the first location. My camera couldn’t have overheated. So the 4K 120p might create more heat than the 8K RAW and the 4K HQ mode.
