"This is not America anymore": Protesters condemn Trump policies in "Good Trouble" marches

Protesters across the United States took to the streets on the anniversary of former congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis’ death to cause “good trouble” and oppose the Trump administration. Lewis coined the phrase “good trouble” as a call to action against injustice. Protesters marched with placards bearing his face and his iconic phrase as they railed against the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump. “This is not America anymore… To see citizens, to see people who are in this country legally snatched off the street and disappeared. It’s not supposed to be happening here. But it’s happening and it’s got to stop,” said Bob Slaudcaus, a protester in Washington, D.C. The demonstrations were part of a national day of action honouring Lewis’ legacy and opposing Trump.
