Princess Leonor, King, Queen and Infanta Sofia of Spain return to the balcony

Spain kicked off celebrations of the 10th anniversary of King Felipe VI proclamation on Wednesday (Jume 19) at the Royal Palace's Armoury Plaza. King Felipe arrived in a Rolls Royce with his wife Queen Letizia while their two children, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia, closely followed in another vehicle. Addressing authorities and recipients of the awards, King Felipe said the Constitution and its values served as guide in his role transcending "the demands of duty and also applies at the personal and moral level as a profound expression of my respect and loyalty to the Spanish people." King Felipe was proclaimed king 10 years ago after his father King Juan Carlos abdicated following a series of royal scandals. Felipe VI, was sworn in in a low-key ceremony which monarchists hoped would usher in a new era of popularity for the troubled royal household.
