This , your last setting that i behold, father sun , and in thy short abscence shall nature rest , and stars , no longer jealous of thy radiance shall show themselves, souls floating in the night sky , and your apostle and carrier of thy light shall descent , a stranger now to the dark womb that birthed him ,one last time , to share the gifts of thy wisdom and thy kingdom and illuminate what can be . So everburning father , know that not in vain we part , but in hope that your wisdom may grace this world with another son , that he may rejoice in thy light as I did , and carry it again on the final dawn, and warm those who never felt thee. Farewell fear and mourn , and in farewell welcome, hope , for I have lived under thy sight , and grew and came to know thy kingdom . It is not in sadness, nor in mourn that we part , for the trade is more than worth. Under thy last stare let it be written so , a child lost , for children to be born anew. So on the morrow on thy dawn , my father , sun , don't look for me no more, nor mourn for me or fear me lost . Through my darkest depths thou guided me, and I shall be lost no more . And blessed be those who have lost themselves in voids and found thee . Blessed be all , thy rays have touched ! I was blind and then I saw , I was dead and then I lived , and now i know ,only in tombs can one find resurrections. I know that time stops for no man and thy course can't be delayed so let me feast my eyes few moments more on thy blazing beauty , on thy crimson spendour and warmth on your set. Farewell to thee oh sun , i too must go, this stranger's night is long ahead , and maybe someone lost in slumber dreams of thee , what joy , to be me to bring them thy light !! A cycle ends , and soon , on a sunset much like this, I 'll be a soul floating in the night sky . And then we shall meet again. context: This is a concept album, narrating a version of Plato's allegory of the cave from his work "republic" . The narration happens in 1st person in the entirety of the lyrics,throughout the whole album.The original work is used to project upon , one's quest for truth and self.
