Olivia F., a former participant, gives her own perspective and shows her experience as an Early Childhood educator in Spain. Early Childhood Work Experience in Spain with Meddeas This program is specially designed for all recently graduated Early Childhood Educators who would like to advance their careers through practical work experience in an international setting. International educators join the Early Years teaching-team of a Spanish private school during one academic year, interacting in English with students of up to 8 years of age. Activities will be conducted in split groups or accompanying the main teacher with the whole group. To complement the practical component of our program, educators receive formal training (a TEFL course with an emphasis on early years) funded by the program. Additionally, educators receive a monthly stipend that allows them to cover living expenses in Spain. There are no fees to join the program. Around 70 out of our 200 Spanish partner schools participate in this program. They are all private and concertado (charter/grant-maintained) schools and most of them are bilingual (Spanish/English) or trying to improve the English language skills of their students with the help of our programs. Program requirements: Hold an Early Childhood-related degree (Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's and/or PhD), obtained within the last 4 years. Provide the official assessment report from the most recent practicum or the contact information of the placement tutor Have no criminal records Be a native-level English speaker
