Since there are "Technical Bonus" score at the end of the game: 500,000 bonus points for never being hit by the barrel, and another 200,000 points for not missing a single barrel, the minimum score to achieve max score is 9,299,999. All characters managed to pass this threshold, and seven characters: Sagat, Ryu, Chun-Li, Nanase, Darun, Sharon, and Garuda managed to achieve the true 9,999,999 before the "Technical Bonus" score. Surprisingly, Darun also achieved the best possible result, with 118 Break and 58 Max Combo. (Note that score overflow happened in Zangief's game, where instead of the maximum 9,999,999, the score overflowed to 10,453,150 for a split second before being rounded down back to 9,999,999. See the video's thumbnail) In general, the combo sets in the game are divided into these segments: First set: Light navy 5x2, Brown orange 3x2, (May use Excel) Light black 3, Brown green 3x2, (Excel) Dark navy 2, Brown pink 3x2, Light pink 3x2, Light pink 3x2 (again), Brown green 3x2, Brown yellow 6/8 (Excel) Brown yellow 7 and 8/8 Second set: Light beige 1 Third set: Black yellow 1, Light navy 5x2, Light white 4 Fourth set: Dark black 3x2, Brown blue 8 (Excel twice) Dark navy 2, Light pink 3x2, Light pink 3x2 (again), Light navy 5x2, Light white 4, Light beige 1 Unlike the predecessor game, Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, this game introduces new mechanics: Combo gauge is now visible, so players know how much time left until the combo is broken. When new set of barrels appear, about half second is added to the combo gauge, which makes it easier to chain combo. A yellow exclamation mark is added too so players know from where the next set of barrels appear. The new "Excel Mode" makes it easier to chain combo. It's super important to maintain combos at certain critical spots, since the combo gauge is paused while you can do anything for five seconds. All barrels hit under the Excel Mode are destroyed at the same time, which may give bonus score for certain barrels. The gameplay shown here is not super optimized. Besides earning higher scores with more knowledge to bonuses, there are many other ways to make the game more entertaining to the eye, instead of using the same basic light punches, for example. As mentioned, Darun holds the best possible result with 9,999,999, 118 Break, 58 Max Combo. Lowest score are shared by Guile and M.Bison, who only attained 9.3 million. Both of them also had the least destroyed barrels, 113 Break, alongside Dhalsim and Pullum. M.Bison also maintained the least combo, 54 Max Combo, alongside Vega. Fastest character to finish is C. Jack who still have about one spare second after destroying the last Light beige barrel. Second fastest is Ryu with 0.1 second left. The other characters who managed to destroy it (Vega, Hokuto, V.Rosso, Darun, Shadow) were destroying it due to the lingering effect of their super combos after the time ran out. Likewise the predecessor game, Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, Dhalsim is still the hardest character to control. On top of being a slow character, his vanilla punches and kicks are all rubbers which takes time to recover.
