We have previously bought vehicles from this enthusiast and were impressed with the condition, service history, and quality of work. The Td5 had recently gone through a complete exterior reconditioning done by the previous owner including cleaning up the chassis and a full respray of the original exterior paint color. The Defender showed up in great condition but Car Cave took it a step further. We installed a new interior including front seats, rear seats, hi-top premium middle console, visors, and headliner. The Defender then received a +5 CM lift kit, steel wheels, rear tire carrier, and 265/75R16 BFG All Terrain tires. We wanted to keep the style and authenticity of the special edition 50th anniversary but add a bit of flare. The Defender now has an excellent stance with proper tires to fill up the wheel wells. Meet the Defender 90 TD5 50th Edition – Land Rover took a trip down memory lane and brought back all the vibes from the 1948 Land Rover. The 50th Anniversary Editions came from the factory painted Classic Sand Beige with white hard top and "50th" logos. Featuring the tubular grille protector and Safari lights with protective grilles ready to light your adventure. Rounding out the exterior are four bibs, or mud flaps for us Americans.Step inside the Defender 90 50th Edition, and you'll find a classic Defender interior, highly functional and ready for your adventures. Car Cave has updated the upholstery with front seats, center console, and installed 4 fold-up seats in rear cargo area. The original Land Rover cassette player is still installed so you can still jam out to your favorite tunes. Providing the go is the torquey TD5 engine, a 2.5-liter inline-five turbodiesel engine mated to a R380 manual transmission, that combined, give you ample low-end grunt for tackling tough terrain while still being able to cruise on the highway.
