Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering (Autonomous), established in 1996 with an initial intake of 200 students and 4 B.Tech. programs, has evolved into a premier institution offering 10 B.Tech., 5 M.Tech., and 1 MCA program with a total intake of 1260 students. Affiliated to Andhra University since 2022 (previously affiliated to JNTUK) and granted autonomous status by UGC in 2009, the college has been accredited twice by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade and a CGPA of 3.47/4.0. It has secured consistent NIRF rankings for six consecutive years and was recognized as the Best Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by ISTE. The college has undertaken research projects worth ₹12.64 crores and consultancy activities worth ₹7.01 crores, while also receiving ₹6 crores in TEQIP-II funding for outstanding academic performance. It houses a 100KWp Wind-Solar Hybrid Power unit supported by MNRE and operates as an NPTEL local chapter and remote center for IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur. In collaboration with APSSDC and SIEMENS, it has established six advanced skill labs worth ₹2 crores. With over 20 industry MOUs, 1600+ placements in the last three years, 117 PhDs among 240 faculty members, and 30 alumni turned entrepreneurs through its MHRD-Innovation Council, the institution stands as a leader in innovation, sustainability, and academic excellence, and has been honored with the “Best College in India” award under the UN’s Sustainable Energy for All Program.
