Just as soon as Susato returns to 221b Baker Street, a knock on the door reveals a huffing and puffing Scotland Yard inspector who claims to be leading the Asogi case. What's more, he appears to have a one-sided rivalry with Mr. Sholmes. I made this track just over a year ago but never got around to posting it, so here we are! Athelney Jones is not a very popular character from the original Sherlock Holmes stories, only appearing in The Sign of Four. He's portrayed as bumbling, pompous, and very excitable (including running around the crime scene). However, of the Scotland Yard inspectors besides Gregson and Lestrade, I found him fairly memorable (and incompetent), making him a perfect candidate to be the detective in the London episodes. I immediately thought the use of woodwinds and a vibraphone would distinguish this theme from Gregson's (although I of course had to sneak some brass in there too). ============================== Created using Reaper.
