It's Uridium and Paradroid meets Hades in an explosive fusion of gameplay styles: • Pilot your fighter through blistering space battles, annihilating the ever-changing defences of colossal space dreadnoughts. • Send your droid into the depths of these titanic war machines to plunder the precious resources held within. • Spend your bounty on epic upgrades & explore the moon base hub to interact with characters & unlock secrets. History In 1985 and 1986 respectively, Hewson published Paradroid and Uridium, developed by Graftgold. Both titles went on to be smash-hits on the Commodore 64, and often appear in the top 100 C64 games of all time. In 2018, Huey Games - the modern incarnation of Hewson - partners with Manchester-based indie developer Four5Six Pixel to develop and publish Hyper Sentinel, a shoot-em-up inspired by Uridium, Defender and Space Invaders. It was successfully funded on Kickstarter and met with critical acclaim. In 2023 work began on a sequel, which sought to fuse Uridium and Paradroid inspired gameplay sections, with modern roguelite gameplay loops, features and upgrade systems. Hyper Sentinel Fusion was awarded a UK Games Fund development grant of £150,000 in 2024, was a finalist in the Very Big Indie Pitch in January 2025, and was selected for the Official Selection at the London Games Festival 2025 in the "Best of British" category. Our community have been playtesting the game since late 2024.
