This Sunday marked the Whippany Railway Museum's first excursion trains since October 2019, as they would be running several Father's Day excursions throughout the day. It would also mark the debut of Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Club Car 2454 in active service after an extensive restoration. I was able to see the 3PM and 4:15 trains at several spots along the Whippany Line. 0:00 A few shots of DL&W Club Car 2454 as it sits at the end of the consist at the Whippany Railway Museum. 0:23 SW1500 20 idles on the east end of the consist as it prepares to depart. 0:35 The 3PM train departs from the Whippany Railway Museum. 2:05 Deforest Avenue in East Hanover. 3:56 Ridgedale Avenue. The crossing actually deactivates for a second or two as the train shoves onto the road. 5:35 Algonquin Parkway in Hanover. 6:55 The 3PM train pulls back into the museum. 8:44 Here's a look at a deadline at the Troy Hills Road Transload Facility. Maine Eastern FL9 488, Maine Eastern GP9 764, and RRPX SW1200 557 can be seen. 10:58 The 4:15 train crosses Troy Hills Road in Whippany. 12:06 McKinley Avenue in East Hanover. Due to the track becoming excepted beyond the River Road bridge, the train would come to a stop shortly after passing by. 13:42 2454 leads as the train shoves past McKinley Avenue on its way back west. 15:30 The 4:15 train shoves past Troy Hills Road.
