ORTHOTOPIC LIVER TRANSPLANTATION IN MOUSE Orthotopic liver transplantation in the mouse is a very powerful research tool in the diversities. However, it is a technically demanding surgical procedure, and only very few people can do it globally.  Mouse models are particularly attractive because are low-cost and have a well-characterized mouse genome.  We want to clone our successful animal models (in rats, rabbits, pigs, and dogs) of liver 24 hours-preservation followed by orthotopic liver transplantation from our R&D place to the New York area. However, New York Huaqi Bioengineering, LLC is a Start-Up and it is too hard for us to move our animal models (rats, rabbits, pigs, and dogs) to the New York area. That is why we are establishing a mouse orthotopic liver transplantation (averagely ahepatic phase is less than 20 minutes now and we are hoping to do it within 15 minutes in mouse OLT model soon.
