How I passed my NCLEX after failing TWICE Just remember what works for me .. May not work for you! What I used this time: @klimekreviews @ArcherReview Sure Pass Plan - discount code SAPAHGGOAD7P8 @YourNursingSpace1 (45 minute crash course video) Background : I used NCLEX Bootcamp twice and failed .. the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. That platform was a crash course for me, no in depth information, wasn’t helpful for me and was given so much detail on case studies that made it was easy to answer … NCLEX IS VAGUE! Not comparable, the platform is too easy in my opinion. after failing I took 1 week to just feel my emotions .. then create a study plan you can upload your CPR to ChatGPT and ask it to generate a study plan for X days . For me I decided to use Archer 4 week study plan and tweak it like crazy! Dedicated 40 Days to Studying (do 1 body system or content area for 2-4 days, watch videos on it, and practice questions JUST ON THAT TOPIC until you’re confident, do this for every area) ALSO everyday I would do 10 questions from areas I scored near or below from my CPR sheet) Archer : Sure Pass Plan (included videos, over 3,000 practice questions, live zooms going over case studies, simple cheat sheets, and more) This plan plan you do a MOCK NCLEX to see your baseline and it generates a CPR as well (super dope feature) Dr.Sharon from Klimek Reviews on YouTube subscribe to her $6.99 premium reviews SHE BREAKS DOWN HOW TO ANSWER QUESTIONS . I would search whatever topic I was focus on for the day with her to do more practice questions and talk myself through why I’m selecting an answer to build confidence in my answer choice abilities. Your Nursing Space (their 45 minute NCLEX crash course) watched twice the day before NCLEX for last minute refresher (but you can watch at any point in time during your studies) 21 Day Fast, provided me with clarity, surrendered EVERYTHING, and wrote a letter to God. FAQ: How did your study days look like 4-5x a week , MAX 5-6 hours. Watch a video from Archer on the topic I’m focusing on … take notes … take an hour break .. do active recall from what I remember … then review notes again.. and generate 30-50 practices JUST ON THAT TOPIC! Review rationales . Next day review notes and rationales again .. watch 2-3 videos from Dr.Sharon on corresponding topic .. then do 30-50 questions on archer , review rationale , and repeat with each topic / content area. How often did you do a readiness exam? 1x a week! This was good indicator of what areas I needed to focus on for the next week! What tutor service did you use? Was it worth it? I used varsity tutors, it was $1,235 for RN and $888 for LPN. I have a detailed video on my Tik Tok that you should watch! Ultimately I don’t think it was worth the money, my tutor was OKAY! Every session I would ask her for test taking strategies and they weren’t super helpful … there are plenty of other affordable tutors , Archer has a plan that includes tutoring services! Tips : First two days on a topic / content area do tutorial mode (reveals the answers after you answer) Then next 2 days do time mode (doesn’t reveal answers until the end, this helps build confidence with answer choice selections) Re-phrase questions to make sure you understand! A lot of times we don’t know what the question is asking so we pick the wrong answer. Slow down, re-read. The right answer is the right answer because the other ones are wrong . A lot of times I needed to know the why behind an answer, and some NCLEX questions really don’t make sense so I had to tell myself well I can eliminate all of these .. and I’m left with these 2 .. well I’ll plug it back into the question .. now one makes more sense than the other , I’m picking that!
