The new 2018 range of ScanStone Windrowers features both the Osprey 3 & the Osprey 5 machines. Each machine is a versatile, gentle and extremely effective windrower for putting the potato crop, or other vegetables on occasion, into either the row next to the machine or in the row 2 beds across. The Osprey 3 machine is powered from tractor PTO and tractor hydraulics for its 3 spiral cleaning rollers and 3 plain rubber extraction rollers. It has option for long cross conveyor which allows the harvester driver increased flexibility in varying fields or conditions. The Osprey 5 has on board hydraulics to power the cleaning rollers together with the tractor PTO. The Osprey 5 has standard 24" wheels to carry its slightly heavier chassis while it also demands slightly more horsepower. The Osprey 5 is a machine of great capacity in all conditions, this machine can be set up to be gentle or can be set for maximum haulm extraction. The Osprey 5 has the option for land drive for growers who are using this machine in extreme wet conditions. This option is rarely required however because the weight distribution along the machine is well delivered for an easy driving experience.
