Hey guys, i paid a visit to master luthier Bryant Trenier in South of France in the early days of April and got the chance to try some cool stuff he had ready ! Bryant is a big fan of John D'Angelico's work so we have a lot in common. Here is the last New Yorker he built. I'm playing the tune After you've gone, composed in 1918 by Turner Layton and Henry Creamer (Acoustic Standards number 90, you can discover 3 other versions on different guitars on the channel). The guitar features a 17 inches lower bout, 25 inches scale lengh and X braced top. The guitar only played a few minutes in its lifetime before i got to play it. It is strung with Labella Bronze strings gauge 12, the sound is captured by both a Zoom H5 recorder and a Dpa 4099g microphone, and i'm using a Dunlop 0.71mm gator pick. Feel free to support the channel if you want/can : www.paypal.me/acousticstandards I've decided to take a couple of student for online classes so hit me up if you're interested.
