NECA Chucky Doll Creators Speak Out | Moody Pudding Studios Interview

Moody Pudding Studios (MPS) is a small team of artists, specializing in sculpting to create & recreate props for people to enjoy. This includes familiar items, such as from the horror film franchise, as well as products of their own. They're most famously known for being the original creators of the 1:1 Replica – Life-Size Chucky & Tiffany Dolls sold by NECA. One of their latest products include the first ever Bride of Chucky "Baby Glen" doll. The team was founded by Iric Fidram II & Mychal Vens, and is currently run by Iric & his partner, Mark Varian II. Unfortunately, shortly after NECA's announcement of their Bride of Chucky dolls returning for a second run (which were sculpted by the original founders of MPS), it was revealed in an Instagram post that MPS never received the contract they were promised from NECA. In addition to that, the sculptors were never properly credited on the boxes that come with each doll. This shocking truth was unveiled after a long period of MPS' trying to communicate with NECA in order to get the two parties back on the same page and for NECA to follow through with their word, to no avail. However, very few, if any, will be shown. There is a number of reasons for this. A) Due to the Cease & Desist & legal nature of what's happening between the two parties, said evidence could be considered sensitive information. The sharing of which could subject MPS to further litigation. B) The dialogue between the two parties about their original agreement was documented over email, which includes the private contact information of both companies. This would be considered invasive to include, let alone unethical, as the conversation isn't intended to be public. C) The intention of this interview is to shed more light on MPS' account of their recent experience with NECA as we give them the platform to be heard, as well as extend the invitation for NECA to come forward, come clean, & come to a resolution with MPS. The intention is not to prove or disprove MPS & their story. There is already enough evidence of who they are, what they've accomplished on their own, what they've contributed to NECA, and enough pattern, history, response, & lack thereof from NECA to recognize the high possibility of speculation. That should be enough to have faith in this video's message. ▶ ANECDOTAL: For the purposes of this arranged meeting between myself & MPS, I was allowed to review any & all evidence that they were comfortable sharing with the notion that it wouldn't be shared with anyone else. And I can attest, that Mark & Iric were able to prove the following: A) NECA tells MPS to "move forward" without the agreement, implying it'll be sent during the arrangement. B) MPS stating how they'd like to be credited, upon NECA asking. C) Product images show MPS not being credited as requested. In fact, they were given less acknowledgement than earned. And D) NECA sent MPS a Cease & Desist, after they spoke out about the disservice they were met with. All of which reassured my willingness to conduct this interview & trust their word.
