Desde que la marina de Brasil dio de baja al A-12 São Paulo en el 2017, ningún país latinoamericano posee actualmente un portaaviones. Pero argentina también tuvo de este tipo de navíos, el ARA Veinticinco de Mayo y el ARA independencia. Por lo que en este video veremos algo de la historia de los portaaviones de estos dos países y también como Chile y Perú estuvieron interesados en algún momento a poseer buque de este tipo y hasta incluso efectuaron gestiones para lograr poseer uno.
