Metro North & Amtrak @ Irvington Part 1 FT: BL20GH & GP35R Double Header + Private Cars + Hornshows

Hello Everyone, On Sunday October 9th I headed up To Irvington station on the Metro North Hudson Line. The last time I railfanned any Metro North Line was before the summer. So I decided to take go out to a Metro North Station. The main reason I went was to catch Amtrak Empire Service Trains #233 & #244 which had two NJRHS private cars attached. These Private Cars were the Taven Lounge #43 & the Hickory Creek, both of which are EX new york central. These private were are attached on Empire Sevice Trains on select dates that started in Late September and are continuing through Early December. I was successfully able to catch #233 & #244 without another Train blocking my shot. Being that I was there from 11:50 A.M - 6:30 P.M I caught many Metro North Trains. I was hoping to see a M3A but no luck lol! I did get some horn shows from some local, the express, and Amtrak. I was also really excited to catch a rare equipment move from Croton Harmon Yard which was a mini bomb set, what made it rare was on the rear of the consist a BL20GH (CDOT Livery) and GP35R were coupled together making it a GP35R and BL20GH double header! It was so cool to see and rare due to fact GP35R are usually only attached to a train when it had mechanical problems and the GP35R was long hood forward as well. If you wondering why you didn't see Amtrak #49 the Lake Shore Limited is because it was canceled that day due a Norfolk Southern derailment.
