SMU Meadows Music - Meadows Wind Ensemble: Dreaming with MWE... - LIVE 04.11.2025 Link to program: https://smu.box.com/s/fw9d0r4w4bpxodm... “Dreaming with the MWE...”will feature music by distinguished Meadows alumnus and composer Frank Ticheli, who will conduct one of his most recent works for winds and percussion, Fantastic Dreams (2023). The program will also feature World Premieres by J. Aaron Stanley, a recent graduate of the Meadows School of the Arts, as well as current Meadows faculty composer, Lane Harder. And if that isn’t enough… Student Concerto Competition Winner, oboist Zoe Gurwitz, as well as a student saxophone quartet (Aliyah Book, Dwight Cook, Jacob Espinoza and Colin Swanson) will be featured in performances of major concertos for oboe and saxophone quartet, by Eugene Goossens and William Bolcom, respectively.
