However, police sources have revealed that Mahant Narendra Giri was disturbed due to a particular video and it is likely that he was been blackmailed over the said video. Further investigation over the same is underway. Reportedly, Giri had also made a video before committing suicide. This video is said to have the reason behind his suicide. An FIR has been registered against Mahant Narendra Giri’s student Anand Giri over the former’s death case. Reportedly, Anand has been charged for abetment to suicide. Police has however said that, the reason for death will be ascertained only after the postmortem and further investigation. Narendra was found dead in Prayagraj. Three people have been arrested in connection to the case. Narendra had reportedly left a suicide note, which mentioned Anand’s name.
