Outdoors is a tender, visually rich animated short about quiet lives, unexpected encounters, and the courage it takes to let go. An old lady and her pet cockatiel live a carefully contained life inside a small apartment, their days shaped by routine and comfort. When a curious young girl from the neighborhood knocks on the door while searching for her missing pet, their worlds briefly collide. In an innocent moment of play, the bird’s cage is left open — and everything changes. What follows is a gentle, parallel search through the city. As the old lady ventures outside in pursuit of her bird, the young girl sets out to find the old lady. Their paths cross again before they continue the search together, moving beyond familiar streets toward open space, open sky, and a shared sense of connection.
