The Coolest Tribute to MLK is in South LA | Martin Luther King JR Memorial Tree Grove | Kenneth Hahn Kenneth Hahn has a lot of beautiful pockets, but one of my favorite pockets is at the highest point of the park. Today we’re talking about the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Grove at Kenneth Hahn Park. The Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is a 400-acre park that is full of trails, nature, and adventure. A bulk of the park overlooks the Crenshaw and View Park Neighborhoods. At the bowl loop, you'll find an MLK memorial tree grove and obelisk. The MLK memorial opened in April of 2018. 50 years after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. - https://parks.lacounty.gov/memorial-t... Kenneth Hahn Park is definitely worth a visit outside of the MLK Monument too. Outside of the Stocker Corridor Trail, this is one of the few places that you can hike in South LA. There’s also several beautiful picnic areas, and a peaceful Japanese Garden.
