Hi guys to day I’m doing a review on review on a EVO SS wearable gimbal. A gimbal consists of 3 motors to control the stability of the Gopro on 3 different axis to stabilize the camera so you get smooth not jerky footage. This particular Gimbal is made as small as possible to enable it to be worn while doing most activities with you action camera. Once you switch it on it’s right to go just set and forget for most of the footage, however there are 5 different modes Including Heading Follow mode, Heading lock mode, Heading and pitch follow mode, inverted mode and a new turn back mode which allows for stabilized footage while filming you from a selfie POV. The gimbals look very strong and well built, when using it you will need to take the Gopro out of the protective housing I opted to buy a cheap ND filter from ebay to protect the lens in case of a rock hitting it. Here you can see the difference this is No gimbal same camera same settings, it’s nearly unwatchable. Then this is the difference it’s so smooth to watch. The Gimbal comes with an extra pair of batteries which in all my testing I did not use after changing the go pro batteries a few times the gimbal still had plenty of power. There is an indicator light on the body that will flash with the remaining battery percentage. Evo Gimal also have a smart phone app which allows full control over the gimbal and its settings. You are also able to charge up your go pro battery from the Evo if it needs a top up. The first lot of footage I had the gimbal on my Proshot cam chin mount, while the footage was great to watch back the weight on my chin became to heavy so I switched to this POV with the gimbal mounted on my chest plate I did not feel it on there at all. The Gimbal comes with a hand held stick which is awesome for getting footage off the bike, this footage was on the stick with me running after my son on his 50. If you’re looking to take you action camera footage to the next level these gimbals produce amazingly stable footage even in the worst conditions. Thanks for watching.
