Apartment hunting can be stressful (especially in Paris!) so I put together this video with some helpful information to know if you are planning on renting here. D I S C L A I M E R * It is very important to always be vigilant and be on the look out for scams, as there are A LOT OF SCAMMERS when it comes to renting in France, more specifically in Paris. DO NOT send any potential landlord any money, personal information (ID/passport/visa) etc before meeting them in person and physically seeing the property. If a potential "landlord" tells you that they are out of town on vacation and that they have already returned to the city many times to show the property, and due to this you have to give them your name, passport/visa info, and personal information to "make an appointment" - don't send them any information. This is a common rental scam here in Paris. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
