This fantastic piece is now in our 2025 repertoire. It's a piece that we might have performed on stage at the Blackpool Winter Gardens had our journey through the semi and finals of this years Britain's Got Talent progressed further than our audition. Sogno do Volare (The Dream of Flight) is a soaring and majestic work by Christopher Tin, written specially as the main theme to the computer SIM game Civilisation VI. It's based on the writings of Leonardo di Vinci, where he dreams of a future wher man will be carried aloft by his own creation. This video to accompany the piece links mans efforts to build small objects which are capable of flight (Chinese lantern, kite, paper plane, fireworks) with their full-sized, man-carrying equivalents (hot air baloon, paraglider, Concorde, Space Shuttle), and ends with what even Leorardo's far-sighted genius might not have conceived man capable of - living in orbit and perhaps beyond.
