The lyrics were written by Howard Ashman and the music by Alan Menken for the 1991 Disney film "Beauty and The Beast". In the film, Angela Lansbury sings the song as "Mrs. Potts". Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson recorded a duet version of it as well. Both versions were very successful and garnered many awards.
