The flood levels peaked on the 14th of January but we didn't get any property flooding similar to 2007 when the River Ock was the main culprit. The levels have gone down but it is still raining, the fields are very wet. The Thames was actually higher than in 2007 Abingdon Lock overflowed this time round. Abingdon's road (The Causeway) to Culham and the East was nearly cut off near Swift Ditch. The boats you see in this video have descended below the River Banks again (30Jan14) and you can walk on the other bank. But the Andersey Island flood plains are still partially flooded and the land is either under water or water-logged. We have had record January rain and it is still raining every day. We all watch the levels anxiously. We had another scare in February but this time round the water didn't quite overflow and now (25Feb14) has quite dramatically sunk down again!
