Diane travels to Istanbul, Turkey and is joined by flutist Halit Turgay as she plays the organ of the Albert Long Hall at the Bogazici University in Istanbul. The concert hall at Boğaziçi University contains a historic Norman & Beard pipe organ installed during the Robert College era (early 1900s). The instrument contains roughly 6,000 pipes, making it one of the largest and most historically significant concert organs in Turkey. The visible façade pipework dominates the back wall of Albert Long Hall, with tall central principal pipes arranged in symmetrical towers and flats typical of late-Victorian English organ case design. The majority of the façade pipes are speaking metal pipes (principal rank) rather than purely decorative, while the remaining thousands of pipes are located behind the case in multiple ranks and divisions.
