Humraaz released on 5th July 2002. Check this video to know Humraaz Movie Box Office Collection. Humraaz helmed by Abbas-Mustan, had a staggering cast of Bobby Deol, Amisha Patel & Akshaye Khanna. All the lead actors were applauded for their performances and the film got many Filmfare award nominations. The plot is loosely based on the Hollywood movie Dial M for Murder 1954 which was remade as A Perfect Murder in 1998. Karan Malhotra (Akshaye Khanna) plans to trick a business tycoon Raj Singhania (Bobby Deol) by getting him married to his girlfriend Priya (Amisha Patel), who after getting married was supposed to betray Raj and ask for divorce along with a big fat alimony. That was Karan’s full proof plan which gets revealed just before the interval as a mindbogling twist in the tale. However, in the second half he find that his plan is not working as Priya gets attached to Raj and asks Karan to drop the plan. There is again a twist in the tale when Raj plans to kill Priya, because Karan confesses his love, as a part of his plan. Following a good number of twists, you are kept on the edge of your seats to find out who is the antagonist among the leading men. Eventually it turns out that Karan is the evil one who gets shot in the end by Priya after his fight with Raj. Akshaye Khanna played the villain for the first time and hence, everyone was taken by surprise. The who-dun-it and the anti-hero formula were at the peak during those days as hero’s started playing anti-heroes more frequently.
