This is the report of my Cathay Pacific (國泰航空) flight CX 237 from Hong Kong (HKG) back to London Heathrow (LHR). This time, I was not lucky enough to get a free upgrade to Business Class, but at least it gives me the opportunity to make a video on the Premium Economy Class. I was assigned Gate 66 for this flight, so I used the new Pier Lounge nearby, which is covered by a separate video as you can see here: • Lounge Review: Cathay Pacific The Pier Bus... The flight uses a Boeing B777-300, just like the flight I took to Hong Kong. I sat at Seat 30D which is an aisle seat in the front row. While obviously not as luxurious as business class, I still get a preflight drink and a vanity bag. The toilets and pantry are shared with Economy Class though! The food was slightly better than Economy Class - I had a Chinese style beef brisket with a shrimp couscous salad, while for breakfast I had the omelette with sausage which seems to be standard across both Economy and Premium Economy classes. Cathay Pacific operates up to 5 flights between Hong Kong and London every day, with an early morning flight, an early afternoon flight and 3 late night flights. I would recommend picking any of the late night flights which depart around midnight in Hong Kong as they will arrive early in the morning in the UK, giving you a full day to do your things after a good night's sleep on the plane. Cathay Pacific is part of the Oneworld alliance, which also includes American Airlines (AA), Airberlin (AB), British Airways (BA), Finnair (AY), Iberia (IB), Japan Airlines (JL), LATAM (LA/JJ), Malaysia Airlines (MH), Qantas (QF), Qatar Airways (QR), Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ), S7 Airlines and SriLankan Airlines (UL).
