summary ======== bought the Direct Drive kit from BoundMotor.com. installation was easy plug and play. the DD motors are running sensorless. the DD sensor wiress are too big to be plugged into the Meepo's controller. There is only 1 mode, slow, under 8mph. i cant tell if it's because it is running sensorless or because the Meepo ESC cant handle this motor. you will need a Dremmel to shave the plastic to make way for the bigger DD wires going into the controller. I believe the noise seen in the video is due to bad bearings. the bearings they sent were very stiff. the riding experience improved tremendously with Direct Drive motors. totally worth it! Meepo v1 ESC does NOT like this direct drive. max speed i get is around 8mph (i weigh 160lbs), even in expert mode with the Meepo remote. if you want to go faster, you will definitely need a dual VESC which is another $200. things used to make this swap possible ================================ direct drive kit: https://www.boundmotor.com/product/di...
