Signal from Asgard presents: The Return of Angrboda's Children Three children marked by fear, exiled and imprisoned before they'd done any wrong. The gods called them monsters and treated them accordingly. At Ragnarok, the bindings burned. Fenrir walked free across Vigrid's plain, seeking the one who'd forged his chains. Jormungandr loosed his tail from his teeth, and the world's circle broke—oceans rose, venom misted the sky, the living boundary collapsed. Hel's armies of the forgotten dead, those who'd earned no glory but they rode to battle all the same. Three children cast away, three returned. Fenrir's jaws closed on Odin and so fell the King of Gods. Thor crushed Jormungandr's skull, then took nine poison-filled steps and fell dead and so fell the Thunderer. Hel's armies fought the chosen slain and so fell the warriors of Valhalla. The prophecy fulfilled—not because it had to, but because the gods made it true by fearing it. They cast the serpent, bound the wolf, exiled the daughter, and forged the very doom they tried to prevent. This was hate. This was balance. This was fate. What the gods denied and chained Returned as law, returned as flame They cast the serpent to the deep Bound the wolf—made him weep Threw the daughter into cold And forged the end that was foretold Every chain became a seed Every exile fed the need Fear wrote law and called it fate Built the doom it tried to wait Prophecy was not the doom Fear itself became their tomb What you cage will break away What you cast will have its day Three were cast while still ungrown Three returned to claim the throne Prophecy fulfilled at last By the gods who forged the past #ragnarok #fenrir #jormungandr #helheim #ragnarok #norsemythology
