An intro to Inclusive Design | Microsoft Inclusive Design

This video is part of a series that works hand-in-hand with Inclusive: A Microsoft Design Toolkit. The intent is to support designers and developers to innovate in a way that puts humans first, on a universal scale. The needs of a diverse range of people are touched upon, including the needs of persons with disabilities. People are shown engaging in activities such as using a sowing machine to repair a garment of clothing, placing pills into a pillbox, and utilizing curb cuts to cross the street. Inclusive design concepts are put into practice in the digital space, exemplified by groups of schoolchildren from different areas of the world and who speak different languages communicating using real-time translation software that includes spoken words written in text of the language of each group. The video closes with the poignant words "Design for all of us begins with design for each of us."
