Fully floating tremolos — love them or hate them, they’re one of the most iconic features in guitar design. But which one actually performs the best? In this video, Rob Craft from A Minor Error breaks down and compares three of the most popular fully floating bridge systems on the market: the Floyd Rose, the Ibanez Low-Pro Edge, and the Strandberg Tremolo. We’ll look at how each bridge works, what makes them different, their pros and cons, and which one I personally think is the most reliable and best designed overall. 👇 LISTEN & SUPPORT 🎧 All Links: https://linktr.ee/aminorerror 🎵 Spotify: A Minor Error on Spotify 🥁 Bandcamp: https://aminorerror.bandcamp.com 📩 Lessons & Contact: [email protected] 🕒 CHAPTERS — Floyd Rose vs Ibanez Edge vs Strandberg Tremolo Review & Floating Bridge Comparison 0:00 – Intro | What Makes a Fully Floating Tremolo System? 1:45 – Floyd Rose Tremolo Demo & Summary | Classic Double-Locking Bridge Explained 3:47 – Strandberg Tremolo Review & Sound Test | Modern Design, Lightweight Feel 5:57 – Ibanez Edge Tremolo Review | The Most Reliable Floating Bridge System? 7:55 – Pros & Cons | Comparing Floyd Rose, Strandberg, and Ibanez Tremolo Systems 10:31 – Final Thoughts | Which Floating Bridge Is Best for You? 💀 FINAL THOUGHTS Every system has its strengths and weaknesses. The Floyd Rose is a classic for a reason — expressive, reliable (when new), and still used by countless pros. The Ibanez Low-Pro Edge is probably the most bulletproof option long-term, with incredible tuning stability and smooth response. But my personal favorite? The Strandberg Tremolo System — it’s light, ultra-responsive, and allows for the most articulate whammy bar control I’ve ever experienced. Perfect for expressive players who rely on subtle vibrato and pitch control, like Plini. Ultimately, there’s no single “best” tremolo system — it comes down to what you need: tone, feel, reliability, and how much maintenance you’re willing to deal with. 👋 ABOUT ROB CRAFT | A MINOR ERROR Hey, I’m Rob Craft — guitarist, producer, and Berklee College of Music grad based in Philadelphia.
